Burntside Lake Association Makes Donations In 2017

For Your Interest:  The following article appeared in the October 21, 2017 Issue of The Ely Echo.

President of the Burntside Lake Association, Ward Nelson,  announced that at their Fall Board Meeting the Board of Directors voted to contribute $1,400.00 to organizations who positively contribute to the quality of life on Burntside Lake and the community at large.  Checks for $200.00 each were recently sent by Treasurer, Rod Nyenhuis to:  Minnesota Lakes and Rivers Advocates, Ely Igloo Club, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Morse, Fall Lake 1st Responders, Ely Bloomenson Community Hospital, Ely Public Library and the ISD 696 School District.  Nelson said a big "Thank You" goes with each check.  He indicated that the Burntside Lake Association has been able to make similar donations for the past 5 years.  Income for the Lake Association comes from Membership Dues, Private Donations, and Newsletter advertising.
