The 2025 Ski Swap Sale October 24th & 25th
NO SALES ON SUNDAY
Equipment Check-In: October 23 (noon-8pm) & 24 (8am-5pm)
Swap Sale: October 24 (4:00pm-8pm'ish) & October 25 (8am-4pm)
Equipment Pick-Up: October 25 (1pm-5pm) & October 27 (5pm-8pm)
Any equipment not picked up by 8pm the final day will be considered a donation and the Ski Patrol will dispose of the items.

If you are selling your gear, the check-in table will be near the main entrance.
The lines for selling items and buying items are separate. You will not be allowed on the sales floor to check prices. Please check places like Ebay, Facebook, and Craigslist for similar prices on your items. We will be checking bindings for indemnification onsite. Not all ski bindings are allowed to be sold at our swap. If the exact binding model is not on the list we have then we will not allow it to be sold at the swap. We will also be checking ski boots for excessive wear on the soles. Boots with unsafe amounts of wear will be refused.

Click around and see what you find. We are a fun group of people who enjoy skiing and snowboarding, and take pride in assisting injured skiers and snowboarders. All of our patrollers go through extensive training in Outdoor Emergency Care. (The Mount Kato Ski Patrol is an all volunteer service for the Mount Kato Ski Area.) If you are interested in joining our patrol, click on the "What it takes" link. Every October we hold a Ski Swap, where the public as well as vendors can bring their winter sports equipment (new and used) to the area and the Ski Patrol will help sell it. Welcome to the Mount Kato Ski Patrol Ski Swap Item Entry
Every fall, the Mount Kato Ski Patrol holds a fundraiser to help support the patrol. The proceeds from the Annual Ski Swap allow patrollers to further their education and hone their skills as they relate to Outdoor Emergency Care, skiing and snowboarding skills, toboggan handling, etc. The swap is usually held near the end of October and lasts 3 days. This is the time for skiers and snowboarders from around the area to purchase new and used equipment and receive incredible deals. The Ski Patrol will help you to sell your used ski and/or snowboard equipment for a nominal fee. More information is available below.

How does it work?
- Dust off those old boots, skis, snowboards, helmets, car racks or whatever else you think some one might be interested in buying. There are some restrictions on what ski boots and ski bindings the ski patrol can sell. A list of indemnified bindings will be available at the swap check-in counter.
- Take a guess as to what price for which you would like to sell your items. If you want to get rid of it, then think low. Remember, most people come to the Swap looking for a deal; the cheaper you mark it, the better chance you'll have of getting rid of it. You can also check Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or Ebay for comparable items and what they are selling for. Be sure to check closely for the actual sale prices not just the listing prices. Damaged or severely worn items will be refused.
- Bring your items to Mount Kato during the dates and time of check-in listed above. The Mount Kato Ski Patrol charges a $3.00 handling fee for every item you ask us to sell for you. This amount is due when you drop off your item. The volunteers at check-in will take all of your information and enter it into our database if you do not sign up ahead of time. - If your items sells, great! We send you a check for the total of your item minus 15% of the sale, which the Ski Patrol keeps. If your item has not sold, check the pickup times above. If you are not able to pick up your item at any of those times email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the specifics. If we do not hear from you within 1 week following the swap, your item will be considered a donation. The ski patrol may sell your item, or dispose of it accordingly and retain any and all funds from the sale of your item.

I'm interested in participating in the swap, now what do I do?
You'll need to register online prior to coming out to Mount Kato. Click the link above in step 3 and go through the Sign Up process. You'll need to verify your email address to continue. Once you've verified your account you can start entering your items into our database. If you are able you can pre print your item labels from the website to speed up the checkin process. If you're not able, don't worry, we can print them for you when you come to drop off. There will be a $3 charge for each item brought to the Swap to sell. If your item(s) sells, you'll get a text message.
